I started brewing way back at my Daddy's knee. I think it was Boots Pale Ale he used to brew and I used to sneak a bottle whenever they were out.Once I left his knee I continued to brew from kits and partial mash until taking the jump to all grain about 20 years ago. I had a break of about ten years when I first moved to Hampshire but re-started a couple of years before this group formed.
I now brew, occasionally, in 5 or 10 gallon (sorry 23 or 45 litre) batches and prefer dark ales, although I am partial to a hoppy one if it is offered.
